I Feel Full!

Today was just what I needed! Thanks to everyone who was praying for my discouraged heart. God has been faithful and quickly answered those prayers! Of course, I can always use more…so, if you feel so led, please continue to pray!

Anyways, school this morning was good. We got to dive into the book of Romans and after class, a classmate felt led to share some of what’s been on his heart. Our class is an interesting mix of people: lots of walls to be broken down, lots of individuals trying to come together as a group, lots keeping us a part–so be praying for our class as well.

Upon leaving school, I received a text from Caitlin (a Schneple Schister) asking if she could cook me lunch–yes please! I am so spoiled! Caitlin woke up early on Monday and Tuesday to cook me and Jen breakfast, this morning Jojo cooked us some french toast (made with Cinnamon Bread!), and last night, Jen had us all over for dinner! So, after enjoying a quick lunch with roommates, I was off to Orange County. There, I got to spend some highly-coveted time alone–had a few phone conversations, some down time, and an enjoyable nap (not a good habit I’ve gotten myself into!). My mom came home from work and I was able to give her a massage and enjoy some conversation. My mom and Jim then cooked some dinner-Wild Alaskan salmon, spinach salad, and wild rice–finished off with a fruit cobbler concoction!

After an enjoyable time with the fam, I headed to Starbucks to meet a dear friend, Irene. The Lord really spoke through her to just encourage me and lift me up. We, as usual, enjoyed great conversation as we caught up on each other’s lives and what the Lord is doing in each of our hearts–some dramatic work going on! Painful at times, but much needed and appreciated! I left there feeling full and then God laid it upon my heart to call another friend, Kendal. We’ve been playing phone tag for approximately 7.5 weeks. This led to another FABULOUS conversation discussing all the Lord is up to in these times of “rest” in our lives–both of us are jobless at the present moment. I’ve definitely felt the need to be more faithful and responsible with my time though, so we’ll see how I take heed to that! Anyways, the conversation got me the whole way back home to San Diego and left me smiling. I am so blessed by the people in my life. It’s awesome to stop and see what God’s trying to tell us through His people. We can learn so much about Him through others, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to do just that!
