Desi appreciated the last time I did a post like this and, in all honesty, I like doing posts like this so I can quickly look back and see what was going on…so for those of you sitting on the edge of your seat wondering just what the Dicken’s are up to this summer….wait no longer! Your dream has come true!
Friday, May 25th: Last day of school. YAHOO!! Josiah and I helped move out some athletic stuff as well.
Weekend: sleep in/hang out/veg/recover
Monday, May 28th: Memorial Day at Tio Pepe’s (Mari’s brother…super fun family time!)
Thursday, May 31st: Drive to Amarillo to hang out briefly with Aunt Nichole, Uncle Wayne, and cousins Bella and baby Tony. Went to Nichole’s choir practice, ate dinner, and crashed 🙂
Friday, June 1st: Made the trek from Canyon to Pagosa Springs to check into timeshare. Lynn and Rudy arrived late that night and then stayed until Monday. My mom and Jim arrived Saturday. There will be an upcoming blog on this fun family trip! We dropped Josiah off at the airport on Thursday to return for some YFN stuff.
Friday, June 8th – Sunday, June 10th – Kalyb and I were up in Colorado Springs with Lynn and Rudy. We drove to Canyon after church Sunday
Sunday, June 10th- Tuesday, June 12th: time in Canyon with Nichole, Wayne, Bella & Tony
Sunday, June 17th: Father’s Day and Josiah’s birthday 🙂
Monday, June 18th: First week of YFN for Josiah
Wednesday, June 20th – Saturday, June 23rd: I’m heading to Atlanta for a TeachFest conference
Monday, June 25th – Friday, June 29th: First week of camp for Kalyb (with his cousin) and I’ll be teaching summer school. Second week of YFN for Josiah.
Weekend: Wedding in East Texas
Monday, July 2nd-Friday, July 6th: Another week of teaching summer school for me and a break for Kalyb and Josiah.
Weekend: Wedding in San Antonio
Monday, July 9th – Friday, July 13th: YFN Week #3 for Josiah and another week of camp for Kalyb while I take a CDL course and help with some school testing stuff.
Saturday, July 14th – Saturday, July 21st: Ladejeiasha comes in town for a graduation gift! Last week of camp for Josiah. And we’ll have lots of fun around Dallas 🙂
Monday, July 23rd – Friday, July 27th: Kalyb and I are flying to Detroit while Josiah attempts to recover from a summer full of thousands of students and hundreds of working hours 🙂
Monday, July 30 and 31st: Back to work for Athletics stuff
Saturday, August 4th: Kalyb turns 6 and we’re having a party at the gymnastics place!
Monday, August 6th: I’m back to work full-time
Thursday, August 9th: OUR TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!
Monday, August 13th: Kalyb starts FIRST GRADE!!
Monday, August 20th: Josiah starts his second year!
And there you have it! A fun-filled, full summer indeed!
